"We were visiting from Nova Scotia and I had just seen a feature on Food Network about Bean and Baker Malt Shop. I told my hubby and son that we just had to make a special trip to visit! It was wonderful! I love vintage and retro and this was all that and more! The corner location with counter and stools, super friendly owner and staff, historic photos and memorabilia and the delicious treats and drinks; it was step back in time that was lovingly being shared with friends who are treated as family! Everything was delicious and so well presented. The carrot cake was the best I have ever had and carrot cake is my go to dessert! And the butter tart just oozed richness. I'm looking forward already to stopping in again next year on our annual trip to Toronto. Thank you for making our visit special!!"

"Fantastic hidden gem on the west end. Seriously, this place is so good. The Philly cheesesteak sandwich is an absolute must. It’s massive, perfectly seasoned and loaded in cheese and garlic butter. The pizza is also a must..thin crust, great sauce, big slices. Tried the cannelloni today and it didn’t disappoint (nothing does here).. every bite loaded with meat. Owners are great, super friendly.. only wish I lived closer."

"Sunday brunch with family at One Eighty 51st floor in Downtown Toronto was not only a feast for our taste buds but also to our eyes as the view from the top was breathtaking. Toronto’s skyline looked glamorous and the great ambience were highlights.<br/ There was an impressive variety in their brunch buffet fresh fruits , boiled eggs, omelette, sausages, breads, potatoes "

"A colorful place. I was surprised how large the place was when I stopped in for breakfast. The inside is so colorful with pictures on the walls for various menu items. It is such an inviting place.<br/ <br/ I ordered Cora’s Special, a couple of eggs, bacon, ham, sausage, a crepe, and some potatoes. It was a good amount of food. I had earlier looked at the website menu and saw all these colorful made for photos plates of food. They like to use fruit. When my breakfast arrived it was a colorful plate of food that looked like a picture. I was very impressed with the plating of mine and others I saw being delivered. That attention to detail in a breakfast place is great.<br/ <br/ Looks good, how does it taste? The eggs were cooked properly, the bacon excellent. I prefer a greasier sausage but I suppose this one was healthier and still good. <br/ <br/ Service was not as fast as I would have liked. The servers were fast, they were just doing a lot of things. Cora’s is great for sitting down and enjoying your breakfast, maybe not that great for grabbing a quick bite on the way to work. They sincerely wanted me to be pleased with my visit, and I was. If you are in a hurry you may want to mention it up front to help speed things along.<br/ <br/ All in all I believe this was my favorite breakfast place so far in Toronto."

"This review is in reference to the restauraunt and bar area of Benihana's and not the actual teppanyaki service, as we did not opt for the actual teppanyaki (where they cook the food in front of you). The drink selection is fantastic, alot of colors and liquers allow for a great choice no matter your mood. Most people go here for the teppanyaki, but on the bar side they have a great sushi selection and sushi chefs make the food right by the bar at their own sushi kitchen area. We opted for 2 sushi boats and their spicy salmon, which were all excellent and fresh. They have calamari as well as bento dishes, all great alternatives to the teppanyaki dinner if you're in the mood for appetizers and drinks, as opposed to the full dinners. The only reason for 4/5 is, in comparison to other restauraunts in the area, the sushi prices are quite high."

"Excellent, informative and considerate service from Rachel at the bar. Joey’s creamy mushroom soup is the best we’ve ever tasted (actually had large mushroom pieces in it); the garden salads were fresh and crispy; and the garlic wedges were surprisingly better than we thought they’d be. Sure, $140 with a 20% tip, but worth every cent. Thanks Rachel for the great service!"

"Always friendly staff willing to explain the menu to even the most ignorant coffee 'aficionado '. The coffee is always on-point and the patio in the back where stoners used to hangout when it was originally the hotbox cafe has been transformed into a beautiful refuge in the heart of Kensington."

"The website needs updating, it looked it might be closed but no! The flavours selection is curated and fantastic. Froot loop ice cream was delicious. Love how you can get 2 kiddie scoops. Sometimes it's all one needs. Service was great too. I recommend."

"First time visiting today, I have never visited a restaurant that makes you feel like home like High Street Fish Chips. Sharon and the staff were so welcoming. Paul and the kitchen staff provided a SUPERB haddock (I understand why they call it the Superb Haddock Fillet now). First time, definitely not my last and I was treated like I was a regular. Thank you High Street Fish Chips for a wonderful lunch today."

"Every time I order pizza here they never make it the way I ask. So cheap on the toppings when you're paying for it.Bring back the previous owners.. pizza was always made just how I asked them to make it. Previous owners were awesome"
