"We stayed just outside Carmen for nights and visited the centre for dinner for of those nights. This restaurant ended up being the best place we ate at the whole time. Tucked behind some gates off the main drag and all its tourist...trappings, this small, quiet restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. We went on a Saturday night and almost every table was taken. We had no issues with service and the staff were lovely. Julia was especially helpful and welcoming and, when we asked for recommendations, every single one she suggested hit the bullseye. We weren't drinking, so can't comment on the wine or cocktails, but they did advise us ahead of time that certain wines were not available and that the jumbo shrimps were not available. This was totally fine because we always appreciate being told ahead of ordering so that avoids disappointment or frustration> Before our starter, they brought out a complimentary crispy bread with goats cheese and rosemary which was super delicious and a lovely start to the meal. For our starters, we both ordered the garlics prawns which were amazing. So much yummy garlic butter and juicy (not dry) prawns, plus bread for soaking up all the butter (which I love). For mains, I chose the top dish filet mignon with caramelised apple and foie gras. I asked for rare and it was cooked to perfection. My only feedback which I gave to Julia was that the sauce was too salty. However, I often find this because I don't eat salt so am sensitive, but chef's cook with it all the time so become desensitised. She appreciated my feedback and so I hope they will take this on board as I see other reviews have mentioned this. My partner had the octopus and this was cooked beautifully with a lovely flavour. We chose the chocolate mousse (more like a hot chocolate lava pudding) for dessert but swapped the vanilla ice cream for their homemade passions fruit ice cream. Both were amazing! Yes the restaurant is more expensive than most in Playa. But if you want to get away from the tacky tourist restaurants and eat quality food in a peaceful environment with good service, then it's worth the investment in such culinary pleasure. Otherwise just go eat street food at the local taco places and don't bother with all the tourist places because most are rubbish food, noisy and poor service. The only complaint I had was that the plastic outdoor furniture was uncomfortable. This is luxury food so the furniture should not be cheap. Even just some good quality, thick cushions would make a big difference."

"The food and service was simply spectacular. Our server Jorge was spot on. My husband had the lamb chops and I had the seafood platter. Both dinners were excellent. The only disappointment is we waited till the last night of our stay to eat dinner here. I wish we would have dined here sooner."

"I was going to wait to write this as i am sure we are going back for a second visit. We grabbed an indoor table as it was raining. They do offer some outside seating as well. The wait staff was terrific. My fettuccini with...shrimp just may have been one of the best i have ever had. The wife likes her spag and meatballs so she stuck with that. She enjoyed it. She enjoyed the left overs the next day as well. Lol Not much else to say except we are looking forward to trying the pizza. It is easy to find. Just head down ctm (46th st) towards the ocean and stop at Alizes condos at the end on the left. Right by the policia. You cant miss it."

"They give you HUGE portions at this place. The cheese board is probably the most amazing thing I have ever seen. It is endless. My girlfriend and I split the cheeseboard and a caramelized onion pizza. Both were extremely delicious and we had to wrap it up to take home. The servers were so nice! The decor is fantastic."

"The tempura fish tacos were well worth the wait! We did have to wait a while (and the restaurant was near empty) but we're glad we did. The host was very friendly and attentive and went out of his way to chat with us about where we were from and how long we were visiting for. He showed us the local newspaper with a map too."

"Finally a good Turkish restaurant in playa. for appetizers share different teller and as main course, I recommend the dish with all kinds of meat, quite delicious. Unfortunately, when we left, they had another choice of crying, but they said that that came in short. the service was attentive and very good. I'm going back to the finals."
