"What a pleasant surprise this place was. We've just moved to the area... not a lot of dining options but we walked by this place this morning, were shown around by a really nice girl who was setting up for the day and thought we'd come back for dinner. To tell you the truth, we were worried because it looked like too nice and extensive of a menu (and knowing it was a small chain to be able to actually pull off. Flash forward to dinner and I don't even know where to begin with being surprised. Joelle (the owner and our server, I think? was pretty busy and was getting support in the dining room from her chef who would bring out plates to the tables with a smile and a good word. My wife had a chicken burger. It's simple and maybe a hard thing to screw up but many places do ... but this one was perfect with a big piece of perfectly done chicken. I got the Lamb Bim Bam Boom (lamb chops with a mushroom Madeira wine sauce and the Chevre Chaud (warm goat cheese salad ... and they were really nicely done. Fresh greens, generous amount of main ingredients like the goat cheese and the lamb. Joelle was great. She remembered the details of the order, opened a bottle of wine just so we could taste it before ordering a glass and just, in general, was making everything happen seemingly without effort (though you could see she might have been short one set of hands . Bread and butter came out... simple but good. Wine was great. Here's the thing... owning a restaurant has never been harder, especially one in a franchise and I was glad to see this one doing a good job. It's not Bestia, it's not n/naka... but you knew that. It's just a nice local place that is doing it well."
