"At the moment the restaurant has never taken off as well as it should It closed several times then opened, changed several chefs Now talking to the General Manager he told me that they will rely on the advice of Nobu chef The restaurant is very nice, the wine list deserves, the French cuisine on the way to Asian Surely with Nobu's advice several things will change It is hard to understand why such a beautiful restaurant where money and manpower have invested the muchelin guide gave only one dish as recognition If you see the other restaurants I have reviewed so far, something is not right here Restaurants that have the michelin star, which do not deserve it, and restaurants instead that deserve it and do not have it Here in Taipei there is quite a lot of confusion, with the Michelin guide, as there is confusion in finding a real authentic Italian restaurant Pizzerias that make pizzas to put your hands in your hair, soupy pastas, overcooked risottos Same dishes, same things A location like this if you've never been there you have to try it. Logically, the price is related to the service and type of customer I cannot say that I have not eaten well, nor can I say that I have not been treated well Research, passion, for work Let's see with the arrival of Nobu's advice if the Michelin guide changes its mind French and Italian restaurants reviewed, but which have little to do with Italian and French cuisine Try it, you can get there comfortably by taxi or by car But for the car you have to find parking See you soon Recommended"

"Short: Amazing drinks, cozy and secret with a lot of space during the weekdays. The services is as good as the cocktails: words do not suffice. They will make you feel like family, even if you dont speak a lick of Chinese. Locals and foreigners, come here if you want a good drink in a quiet, comfortable speakeasy bar. Long version: I’m a simple man with universal tastes who can drink any poison… so long as it aint cheap college freshman swig. I’m also an introvert who loves a damn good speakeasy. The kind of bar with an atmosphere that isn’t obnoxious, like a dive bar, a club bar, or a sports bar during a world match. I love a small hole in the wall you have try hard to find behind secret doors and unspoken passwords. That is reserved for people who came to have a memorable drink experience, not to get drunk fast, like a cheap date. This bar is that kind of bar. The decor is dim-litted themed like a 18th century watering hole for privateers. It may be corny to some, but with dim-litted lanterns of various shapes and soothing jazz from a record player, its comforting and unique like being in a Caribbean speakeasy with history. Dont be alarmed, though. The bartenders are casual, kind, and immediately make you feel like you’re at a sibling’s personal bar. As i sit at the counter made of beautiful aged-looking wood, anxious thinking of what to drink first, i’m immediately made happy and calm hearing the yelps from the bar master trying to prep some cooked edible garnish beforehand (looks like mini peanut butter and jam sandwiches). It feels like they make drinks to make you truly comfortable and worth the 400NTD price and they want you to have comfortable fun in Taipei overall (bar master recommended me another bar bistro that has great food). Speaking of drinks, i rarely jump to conclusions from the first drink… but after ordering “orphan of the Mayan,” rich in sweetness, ginger spice, and smooth refreshing flavors of chicha morada with the well mixed and prepped citrus… i immediately said “this might be the best bar i’ve been to in the past two months.” (And i went to 14 in both Taiwan and Japan). I’m still drinking as I write this, another unusual occurrence that i save for after I try a wide range of cocktails on their list(which is a beautiful nautically themed book in this case). However, after seeing how they made my second drink, the spanish gin tonic, I had to weite something HERE AND NOW! I will be coming back here again and again (so long as my liver permits haha) Locals and foreigners, come here if you want an amazing drink in a quiet, beautiful place with lovely bartenders."

"Decent ramen. Solid chewy noodles with excellent broth. Other reviews says broth is a bit too salty, but for me, I think it's pretty good. The only downside to this ramen is the thickness of the meat. The meat did not satisfy my craving for pork."

"I have tried many burger restaurants in my travels around the world, and Selfish Burger will get on the recommended to visit list. I will come back here, especially because of the very convenient location. Very good beef patty and excellent buns. Perfect size serving, just right to satisfy your taste without leaving you stuffed and unable to move. Excellent homemade ginger soda. You can pay with foreign credit card with no issues, which is not as straightforward as one might think in other places. Friendly service. Perfect for a single guest or two people, check ahead if with a larger group, as the place is popular and seating is limited."

"The food is vegan, but personal care products are not all vegan as some brands test on animals. I 've spoken to different staff at the store as well as on Facebook, but their response was that vegan, cruelty-free products which are mostly imported might be too expensive for their local customers in the neighborhood. They also used to carry Earth Balance, Daiya, Tofutti, but I haven 't seen those products for a while. There are some nice snacks, sauces, frozen vegan mock meats, breakfast cereal, bread, soymilk, and so on. It 's still worth checking out since the food is vegan and there are some nice local vegetables and fruits, but I think the name iVegan may confuse consumers who are seeking real, cruelty-free personal care products."

"Came back here three times during our short visit in Taipei. Loved the cinnamon, soy floss and 'ham and cheese ' bun. Excellent service, great staff and nice environment. If you are lucky, you 'll catch a mobile mushroom-based 'takoyaki ' outside the shop. All vegan."
