"Hotel Thimappa is located near karavali junction, Udupi. This place is very popular with locals. You should head there early, otherwise you have to face the huge crowd gathered there. We ordered fish thali, pomfret tawa fry, anjal tawa fry and prawns ghee roast. I really loved fish thali with that fish gravy and beetroot curry. My favourite item was definitely pomfret tawa fry which was fried to perfection. Anjal tawa fry was as usual great and prawns ghee roast was really good. You can feel that freshness of prawns in that dominating ghee roast. Overall this place is amazing, I can still feel the taste of seafood. Ambience was basic and service was really quick. They have different family section, which is comparatively big and clean."

"Ordered chicken lolipop(tandoori) malai chicken tikka, anjal tawa fry, butter chicken, bhindi curry, half chicken biryani and roti.. all good. Dessert.. chocolate brownish with vanilla ice cream. Very nice.. all in all good, but service is slow.."

"Amazing place to dine in. Great food and ambience. If you're looking to have a great meal at reasonable prices, then this is the place. Suitable for family as well as friends. On sundays, they used to have an unlimited buffet which was worth dropping everything else."

"As a foodie, We try many places but some places just stay in our heart forever.<br/ <br/ For me, Woodlands Restaurant Udupi is one such place. We visited here on our last trip to Udupi. We heard a lot about Woodlands Restaurant so we went here for our dinner. The seating was AC ambience was great.<br/ <br/ As per the recommendations, we quickly ordered South Indian Special Thali which is unlimited Not allowed to share . The thali contains 1/2 Soup, Puris, Kurma, 1 Cup Pulav, 1 Happalam, Rasam, Sambar, Dal, Rice, Dry Veg, 1 Cup Curd, 1 Sweet 1 Cup Ice cream. We requested got extra Kurma, Puris, Rice Dal.<br/ <br/ For dessert, we ordered Gadbad Ice cream.<br/ <br/ The service was quick. The staff were friendly just as family members they insisted us to have extra kurma puris. The prices are pocket friendly which makes this place a great value for money.<br/ <br/ We Tried <br/ <br/ South Indian Special Thali 185 Rs.<br/ <br/ Gadbad Ice cream 125 Rs.<br/ <br/ Virgin Mojito 70 Rs. <br/ <br/ Overall a highly Recommended Place <br/ <br/ Don't miss this place when you visit Udupi."

"I 'm speechless with the variety of dosas. How incentive the people are here. So many different, crazy combination of dosas and yet not a single deviation from the authenticity of Udupi ' art of vegetarian cuisine. You must try the classics laced with 'Benne ' i.e., Ghee. Set dosa, plain dosa, Benne Masale, Cut dosa, Open dosa and many more. A must visit for Udupi."

"Good place to have snacks mainly. But if you are going here for something else, then also it's really good. They have almost all kinds of foods that I can't even pronounce. But anyways hygiene is not that upto to the mark, its just okay. The food here maybe good depending on what you take. But most of the items here are good nothing to worry about. The only turn down is that it is not so spacious. I mean it is but it gets crowded so much that it looks small. And most of the time the cashier does not have 5 Rs change that he gives a token. My suggestion would be please accept online payments too instead of just relying on cash payments. Also the prices for some items like pasta is not worthy for the quantity they give, but that is left to those who order it. Snacks are really cool, and I literally come here every single day just to eat it."

"We had mini idly, buns, uddina vada, masala dosa and tea coffee. Couldn't taste the famous golibaje. The highlight is the mini idly where you get a around 8 idlys dipped in a bowl of sambar. The sambar is authentic udupi sambar which is not thick. We ate evey spoon of sambar as it tasted great. Buns was awesome. Dosa was not that great. It's very crowed when we visited and this is inside the Udupi temple complex"
