"Very disappointing dinner, not at all French and less-than-average in taste/ quality. Bad enough to spur me on to write a review. I had the duck à l'orange, which was way too sweet and tasted like an entire jar of cheap marmalade had been dumped on the overcooked duck. My partner had the ravioli, which wasn't as bad as the duck, but definitely not worth the price. The kids shared the John Dory fillet but the kitchen was out of John Dory so we got snapper instead, and while it was meant to be a fillet, there were many bones in it - if it was meant to have bones, it would've been nice to have been given fair warning especially since the waitress knew that our kids (aged 9 and 2) would be eating it! We were initially told that the fryer wasn't working so they'd have to replace fries with mashed potato, but ten minutes later we were informed that the fryer was working after all... The fries were severely overcooked and tasted like frozen fries hastily fried up. All in all one of the worst dinners I've ever had for the price. This place is in a brilliant location; it needs a massive makeover, a new maitre d', and new chefs who can actually cook authentic French food."

"We came to General Food Co for brunch and were impressed. The staff were attentive and warm upon arrival suggesting a great seat in the Courtyard. Our table ordered the hot cakes with maple syrup with bacon and scrambled eggs and they were delicious. The hot cakes were fluffy and light, the bacon was crispy and cooked to perfection. The avocado, tomato and spinach were fresh and toast was crunchy. A great relaxed location for people wanting to meet friends for breakfast or lunch and as an added bonus pet friendly.Would come again!"

"Can't recommend at all. Friends ordered crispy skin salmon and the fish portion at best was a half serve. The meal came in a flat soup bowl and am guessing the chef feels this creates the illusion of a decent sized meal. Well it wasn't. At $26.50 this was overpriced and under delivered. The nearby tables of a local business saw each meal served on a large plate. Why not the fish?"

"We have loved Tik Tok for years.. has been a while since we have come, looks to have changed owners. was a beautiful family run cafe for years). Came today for a t/a coffee, we ordered a long black which is very unforgiving) and a oat late. My long black was awful, looked like just hot water, was not drinkable and my husbands oat late was terrible, not good with the blend of coffee and whatever brand of oat milk they use. We won’t be back."
