"Walking around Winterthur centre I had almost given up on finding a restaurant serving Swiss food, when I spotted the discreet sign. The restaurant is on the first floor of the building so blink and you'll walk by it. It was Friday evening, the restaurant was very busy, but the maitre d'hotel assured us that we'd have a table if we came back in half an hour. Promise kept, we soon soaked up the atmosphere in the restaurant, feeling like the only foreigners in there everyone around us was speaking Swiss German. The roesti was fantastic and the kaesespaetzle to die for! The bill for two with drinks and dessert came to 90 Swiss Francs."

"I have ordered a green salad with Italian sauce, and I did not get dripping iceberg salad with very poor Italian sauce and that for 9 SFr!!!A catastophethe gnoggi where allegedly homemade that definitiw was bought honey, has not been so bad with the sauce.Of course I had to season the sauce so that it tasted.Nie more!!!"

"After a 10 nights in Bavaria one can become tired of Schnitzel, dumplings, gravy etc...All good comfort food but it was a delight to come to Switzerland and enjoy magnificent meal at Trubil. It IS expensive compared to what e had been paying in Bavaria and Italy and we chose carefully but the food was fantastic and the service equally so."

"Kleines Restaurant in Oberwinterthur, schön und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Neben dem mit weissen Tischdecken elegant eingerichteten Restaurant-Bereich hat es im vorderen Bereich auch noch einfachere Holztische, an denen man nur etwas trinken oder eine Kleinigkeit essen kann.Der Service war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich.Das Essen war durchweg sehr gut, wir hatten jeder eine Vorspeise und ein Hauptgericht und waren mit allem sehr zufrieden.Hier hat von Anfang bis Ende alles gestimmt und wir kommen sicher gerne wieder!"
