"Busy Saturday night but we had three courses in under an hour. Didn't ask for break as we hadn't eaten here before. Main course came straight after starters cleared so must have already been cooked anyway. Food ok not spicy enough."

"Went for lunch with a friend, I have never seen such a beautiful garden ever, better than going to Chelsea flower show!! Very warm welcome by the landlord and land lady that have owned the pub for 37 years, all the staff were very helpful and friendly, the landlord chatted to everyone making them feel very welcome, the food was proper English food, not enough pubs sell that these days!!! My scampi was amazing and my friend had the tuna sandwich in lovely billet style bread which was like bread used to taste. Everything on the menu is under £10, such good value for money, lovely selection of bitters and lagers, wine and soft drinks too. Inside the pub it is very English and has so much 16th century charm. This pub is a must visit pub as it’s a little English Gem that you don’t see very often these days run buy owners that truly love their little pub."
