"If you have any sort of desire to be wanted and appreciated, I can only suggest that you don't visit The Boathouse. The food, let me be clear, is very good; fresh, beautifully cooked and presented. The view is a visitor's dream, from Broadway to the Bridge, with the Anzac Bridge front and centre. But the staff! Off-hand doesn't come near it. Apart from an urgent and quite unnecessary urge to frequently fill our (very large) wine glasses (my cynicism won't let me think that it's to encourage the purchase of a second bottle), it was desultory and disconnected. I'm not sure whether the staff thought we were eating above our station, or just wanted to get home to watch Game of Thrones. Whatever, if you don't want me to visit, I won't. It really is that simple."
