"We had over 30 people confirmed for lunch and another 20 for drinks (over 50 in total) but the venue we had booked weeks ago the Robin Hood hotel decided to half the space in their function room regardless of the amount of people attending our event!! They have been horrible to deal with so we now have to find another venue last minute !! Don’t ever trust the a Robin Hood with your function it’s been a disaster!!"

"Firstly, the menu on the Clubs Website is the reason we booked, but when we got to our table there was a limited menu to choose from. Staff explained that this was due to Covid lockdowns and not wanting to waste food. Whilst we understand this reasoning it would have been nice to have warning on the website or at least on our confirmation email. Having said that, the food on offer was quite reasonable. Finally, we have dined at this venue numerous times and on each occasion the A/C vents to the dining room seem to be blowing cold air which, in winter, is not what one wants whilst having dinner. Staff did make an adjustment for us, but it shouldn’t need to be raised every visit to the dining room"

"This is a very welcoming cafe. Wonderful friendly staff, excellent service and extremely tasty food for the family at very reasonable prices. Best chips and gravy ever eaten kids response, succulent steak sandwiches, best chicken Parma roll dad had ever tasted, mum had the chicken Caesar salad, (yum) and they have the best coffee and scones in town. We would recommend this cafe to anyone!"
