"Our group has come to the Royal on the water for many years, the last time in March. As we all know, a lot has happened in the hospitality industry since March. At the Royal, regular employees seem to have been replaced by very young, almost work experience people. In this way the administration was forced due to the Covid pandemic, but it certainly leads to an unusual lunch. The work that paid for what was laborious and confusing at the end of the meal. Not as pleasant an experience as in the past. Food quality also slipped a bit."

"Will definatly be coming back , food was excellent and well priced , the service was fast and friendly . I Recommend the meze plate to share the sirloin steak and the chicken mains and the desserts we had a bombe Alaska and the brownie . Also the bar had a good selection of spirits :"

"I think this guy is over cooking breakfast for people. I should of taken a photo of my breakfast to post. Maybe I’m a hard judge and expect better as I eat pretty well in Melbourne. Coffee was OK... The Gina eggs were just average....This bloke needs inspiration. I wish him well"

With limited time, a family staycation with just 25 minutes travel required, suited us down to the ground. The four and a half star hotel is right on the edge of Perth’s CBD, with many attractions just a short stroll or free bus ride away. "I hadn't been here for a while, as they are kind of expensive and their service isn't great. However my most recent visit where I stopped in to pick up lunch was about the worst service I have ever experienced. One staff member got my order and then left it at the cash register for the other staff member to ring up. The staff member at the register then continued to gossip with the customer before me, while I waited. And waited. And waited. All the other staff had disappeared. Five minutes later, she finally decided to finish up and ring up my order. If I hadn't been short of time, I would have gone elsewhere. The service here is so atrocious, I don't know how they are still in business. I'll take my business elsewhere instead of being treated so rudely. I kinda wish this place would go broke and a decent cafe open in its place."
