"I've read good things about this restaurant so when I was working in GP towards the end of November I decided to go in for the breakfast buffet. I arrived before 9 AM, the buffet is advertised open until 10. I was surprised to find a very simple buffet: Scrambled eggs in 1 pan,, Bacon & sausage in 1 pan, pancakes & french toast in 1 pan and 2 pans of potatoes (cubed & shredded). This is the kind of hot breakfast I usually find at a small motel that offers free breakfasts and not usually a large restaurant attached to a large hotel.(this should have been my first hint). I sat down with a little of each... it was ghastly!! The eggs were luke warm but that was nothing compared to the hard and dry sausages, pancakes and french toast that a knife couldn't cut!! The food had obviously been out for a while, room temperature but it was the staleness of the pancakes and toast that surprised me. I showed the food to the waitress and showed how hard and dry the food was by attempting to cut it, and I am NOT exaggerating, the knife would NOT cut the french toast!! She quickly apologized and stated she would return with fresh pancakes and french toast made fresh in the kitchen. I tried the shredded hashbrowns while she was away, they were very dry, hard and crunchy, inedible! After a 5 minute wait she brought me the steaming french toast and pancakes; it was only when i attempted to eat the new dish that I discovered it was ALL still frozen inside!!!! I realized then, this full sized family restaurant was serving FROZEN PRE-PACKAGED MICROWAVED BREAKFASTS, Even french toast & Pancakes they couldn't make themselves!!! GROSS!! I showed the waitress and she was at at a loss for words!! I must state at this time the service was good, I had NO issues with the waitress. I have cooked in restaurants myself and found the ONLY reason they put food out like this is a desperate attempt to raise their bottom line and save costs, but the food they served in the buffet was absolutely inedible!! Even what came out of the kitchen was not worth walking in their for! They should be ashamed of themselves!!"

"Ordered delivery from Ramona's on a quick overnight in Grand Prairie. I ordered the Ramona Special pizza which was excellent! Stacked with toppings and extremely tasty! I also got the cheese bread sticks which were good but could have used a little more cheese and the Ramona Greek Salad which was very good, but shockingly I wish I could have traded some of the Feta for some more veggies! All in all excellent and I would highly recommend Ramona's."

"Most recently my wife & I visited Grand Prairie, AB. for New Years to see family. We looked up Joey's online, found a pdf menu for the GP location and proceeded to stop in to place an order. Upon arriving there was a substantial price difference. The manager was made aware and she honored the lower price, although losing profit. Even though this was upsetting for her she still settled the issue with honesty & integrity. The smiles never stopped and help for directions to another business were great. The food was excellent as was the experience. A MUST if you enjoy seafood when in GP. An asset to the brand."

"I ordered The Works burger. The top of the bun was so completely covered in mayo or special sauce I had to wipe the whole top off. The bottom was so soggy with grease there was no bottom. I ordered poutine and got a box...of huge uncooked, unseasoned potatoe wedges. Never eat there again."

"Well after reading the reviews on Tripadvisor I went to try this place. I have been next door to the Rice Bowl that was nothing special. This place had Lasagna as the lunch special and included was soup or salad. I went with a Caesar salad and I have to say both tasted like the stuff my wife buys at Superstore. I paid $15.00 for the special and a drink. Yep Grande Prairie prices for just ok food. Oh well I'll search for somewhere better next time I'm in GP."

"Yes! This is a great place for a beer and a great service. I don't care about eating there as such, haven't tried a meal for a few years. However on Canada day I left my guard down, and, stupidly ordered beef....I had hundreds of this ground in many places, especially because it is hard to screw. My beef dip arrived neatly, first I noticed the gooey fair that was supposed to be set.... Your basic, white, strong hotdog bee, a stable bee, I think frozen before. I quickly discarded this health hazard. The apparent beef? .... the processed variety, was designed with something poisonous butrant, to taste it terrible. Beef dip should be freshly cut, in a beautiful fresh crusty fresh bungalow. What's so hard about it? A Stale Hotdog Back! Give me a break. French fries cool, and a long time from the frit. Do not forget (although we should) the tiny bowl of the muddy salad, and dishes water for diving. Indeed! A terrible meal!"
