"We're in Saint Hyacinthe this week on business and on one of those days we meet some colleagues for lunch at Restaurant l'Espiegle. This is a nice restaurant in the old downtown Saint Hyacinthe in some of the very old buildings here. It's a small place that has been renovated to bring out the old architecture but it is done very tastefully. Our colleagues order a bottle of wine, the selection is quite extensive as I suspect most would expect in higher end restaurants in this part of town, I don't know much about wine but this one was very good. We order items from their lunch menu, I stated with their house made soup, which was a sweet potato soup and it was quite good. My main choice was the grilled salmon and that came with grilled vegetables and a thinly sliced chip like potato and this too was very good. I topped my meal off with a specialty coffee that was spiked with Baileys and Amaretto. Everyone seemed to like what they had and the meal overall was great. I would not hesitate to return to Restaurant l'Espiegle next time I am in Saint Hyacinthe and would recommend this to any reader."

"Stepping into Grillade Maska is like stepping into a friend's home. It's warm, welcoming and casual. The house salad dressing should be bottled and sold retail. The Soup de Jour was a creamed asparagus with dill; and, it was wonderful! The staff were very friendly, proud of their work and eager to please. The cannelloni came with an awesome herbed ragu sauce, and lots of fresh mozzarella. Grillade Maska is a hidden gem!"

"Good little restaurant/pub. space is a little restricted (especially down) but it is warm. Good service. My favorite dish is the beef slut, it's excellent. My wife loves their pizza. a nice place to make a team dinner or to sigh before a show at the juliette lassonde that is close."

"We stopped in St Hyacinth on the way home from a holiday on the east coast.We looked for good pizza and salads.We found both at Thomas Pita and Poulet. This establishment is take out only and our order was filled in about 15minutes.Staff were friendly and helpful. Our servers were attentive and quick.The Caesar salad was the best I have had in a while. Great bacon bits and cheese! Our pizza (Pepperoni, green peppers and mushrooms) was terrific.Many thanks!"
