"This is an awesome restaurant and the food was great. I was there with my kids and there was no children's menu which was OK. The portion sizes were good and the food was top quality. The seafood cioppino was delicious. I have had this dish elsewhere before and it was too salty. This one was just perfect. We also had the filet mignon and that was cooked just the way we like it. However we did not care for the gorgonzola cheese and would have preferred it without. The spaghetti and meatballs was tasty. The ambience was good and we had excellent service. Would return if we were in the area again."

"I live in Oxnard and wanted to celebrate our business anniversary so we drove to State St. In Santa Barbara and saw this place! For our first time experience, customer service was great, super friendly and got helped right away and the food was just perfect, super delicious! Authentic Mexican food for sure! "Overall it was a great experience and would have gotten stars if they updated their menus online and at the restaurant. My wife is a vegetarian and found dishes she would pick from when we went. We realized our menus were slightly different because hers had some extra dishes on it, which happened to be one she wanted. Came to find out her menu was old and the dishes she wanted were no longer available. Waiter said he would check if they had some vegetarian ravioli left and it turned out they did after he ‘checked’. The waiter then returned a few mins later saying the chef actually looked and they do not have the vegetarian ravioli. So she had to settle for a Caesar salad, bread, and fries. Which they forgot to bring her fries and we had to ask about them. The waiter also spilled her wine all over my leg and the guys jacket at the table next to ours, but it was an accident and he covered the cost of our dessert, which was amazing! I had the filet and it was perfect, I recommend Chuck’s but make sure you are looking at their updated menu when looking online first"
