"This friendly and casual restaurant lives up to its name! After a long drive and 6 missed inland ferries, we eventually reached Merritt around 6:30, absolutely famished and not sure where to go. Choices are limited if you want something more than fast food. My...phone suggested Home, a family style restaurant located in the Super 8. Well, what a treat! Exactly what we felt like — a meat loaf dinner for me and a turkey dinner for my husband. Along with beer and wine it made for a satisfying and very reasonable meal. COVID precautions were in evidence which made us feel comfortable. We watched our booth being sanitized before we were taken to it. Just one little quibble: a meal of turkey/meat loaf accompanied by mashed potatoes and gravy needs some colour. Our side vegetable was cauliflower, making the meal look bland. Maybe peas or mixed veg or green beans could be an option? The portions were huge! Lisa was a friendly and efficient server with a great sense of humour. Thanks, Lisa!"
