"Passing through town and thought this would be a great place for a nice craft beer. Wanted to sit upstairs, plenty of seating however limited beer menu so back downstairs then I went outside but not before I asked at the bar if they wait on you out there, which they said yes. I sat down outside only to be told to go to the front and wait to be seated. Which I did only to be told if I move from outside I have to tab out in get back in line to be reseated......a lot of effort for a beer. Standing outside waiting for my friends arrive so we can go have a beer somewhere that's not as difficult."

"The Big Texan Steak Ranch certainly lives up to its name! After seeing many billboards, we decided to stop for lunch last week, and we were not disappointed. The closest thing to this that we can find at home is Texas Roadhouse, but The Big Texan is really so much better. The prices were good, especially the ribeye lunch special (which is what we both ordered). The food was great. The steak was extremely tender and tasty. The sides were great, too, especially the chili— you could tell it was homemade, packed with meat and flavor. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, and the other employees in the gift shop area were friendly as well. This is a neat place to stop and take a look around, even if you’re not looking for a meal. There are a lot of Texas-themed gifts as well as some not specific to Texas. They also have a little bakery case there with some delicious and huge slices of cake (we tried the red velvet and it was honestly the best red velvet we’ve had in a while). There’s also an array of sugar cookies decorated with royal icing that also looked delicious, as well as ice cream and fudge."

"If I could give this place less than one star I completely would do it. The gentleman who is a younger man and a scruffy beard is absolutely horrible at customer service. There is no way it takes 40 minutes to make one pizza. Absolutely ridiculous!"

"We used to come here often, but for various reasons fell out of favor with us. Began the night planning to go somewhere else only to learn they were closed for remodeling. Decided to give the Metropolitan another go. Really glad we did. Recently under new management. The atmosphere has always been fabulous. Was glad to see Neal behind the bar once again. The service was great from Mason at the front door to our waiter Baylor. Started the evening with coctails both made to perfection. We had the specials for dinner barramundi and sea bass. Both were fabulous. The chocolate pot di creme was a fitting end to the meal. Good selection of wine by the glass and bottle. The specials were pretty pricey, but we'll still add the restaurant back to our rotation."
