"The restaurant was overwhelmed with LEAP DAY SPECIALS. We were seated at about for our reservation only to find out a few minutes before we were seated all the lobsters were gone.The manager was quick to think what to do so gave us his card and told us to email him when we would want to come back and he would still honor the special deal.I was happy to go back and take my wife and friends this time and we will return again once we are back in the Crystal City area.All the servers and employees did the best they could with the crowds so hats off to management for training them well and finding great people to work with them"

"Il Forno was OK, nice décor, but even though most of the tables were full, there was just no energy in the room, especially for a Friday night. We both decided to get the seafood risotto special, which the server described as having three large grilled scallops on top, but it didn't. Instead there were several small, non-grilled bay scallops mixed in, but it was still tasty, so there was no real cause to complain. Interestingly, a short while later, we heard the server at the next table provide the correct description to the neighboring party, so I don't know if management realized the error and fixed it, hoping we wouldn't notice, or if the other server was just better informed. In any case, we also asked for some parmesan to top our risotto, and the server told us it wouldn't go with the seafood; if I thought it wouldn't go with the seafood, I wouldn't have asked for it, but he eventually grated a tiny bit over our plates to appease us. Honestly, nothing majorly wrong with the meal, but nothing to make us want to return either."

"Excellent venue for dinner. Professional, courteous knowledgeable staff. Jean our waiter made the dinning experience most enjoyable. Sal, the atmosphere and staff are exceptional. By the way, the steak dinner was fabulous. Very highly recommended. Bon appetit!!!!"

"I had the grilled cheese and it was horrible. The bread wasn’t even toasted. I feel like it’s very difficult to mess up grilled cheese. Our waitress was very nice though and my friends’ meals looked ok."

"This happy hour is perhaps the best kept secret in the neighborhood- I almost don't want to share it. The HH menu is a steal- sit at the bar and watch the magic of the rolls being made. The steamed buns are amazing- you will not be disappointed! Great gem!"
