"We went for a family birthday celebration, wide range of menu choices, even accommodated a vegan. Everyone enjoyed their meal. I had the mussels in a mustard cream sauce and they were delicious. We did find the place a bit loud, but that seems to be the norm these days, otherwise, we all agreed that we would return. Nice that you can bring your own wine too."

"You get what you pay for in this world - hotels, first class travel, Armani suits, LV bags, and so on. We know that but we expect much more when we go to a place to fill our bellies. And filling your belly with good, fresh, hand-crafted food is why you should go to Vieux Duluth at any of their locations around Montreal. I love the one on Marcel-Laurin Blvd. It's always fresh, tasty, generous portions, amazingly delicious soups (better than the Ritz) and friendly service from Tony and his people, who go out of their way to please you. GO - forget the Ritz."

"A very nice looking restaurant with great sports themed decor. The menu options were limited and somewhat incongruous given the type of restaurant. I think they are trying too hard to be trendy and are missing some more basic elements, such as a more ‘normal’ salad as an appetizer. I had a hard time finding anything that interested me. The fish tacos were tasty but very sparse on fish. The lobster tacos were even sparser and with almost no garnish at all. For the price, I expected them to have more filling. The ribs were not bad, but the side of mashed potatoes were runny/watery and cold. The burger was quite good, as were the salads. I did not taste the quinoa or Cobb salads, but they got rave reviews at the other end of the table. We kept running out of water, and always had to ask for more it never came on its own, as it should. About three quarters into the meal, it seems we had bust the water quota since they never brought any more after that, even after we asked. The bills were confusing as some items ended up on other people’s bills but that was ok. We were a large group and not necessarily sitting beside the people on our bill, so it was hard to keep track of who was with who. We all worked it out ourselves. Kudos on the unisex washrooms! Funky sinks with air dryers built into the faucets quite cool, even if the intense air pressure blows the water from the bottom of the sink onto your shirt in the process."
