"I was there for an early business meeting, coffee and toast, the homemade jam was to die, I will be back. When it was early, I could only comment on what we met. I would not consider it a waterplace, but would call it close to the waterfront, great that it is near the wynyard escalators and david jones as easy to lead people there. I think the young man was new, as I asked several questions to order and have put birthday cake and he could not answer, he said I should check with the administration. When I had my own management meeting, I couldn't ask myself, all the cafe staff were busy and he didn't ask in my name, so not yet. I have already recommended it to some of my colleagues as I think it is a great place to book a table online was the reason why I chose devon."

"Staff working in this venue obviously don’t understand the concept of good customer service. There is no sense of urgency and none of them seem to know what a smile is. Food comes out at alll different ends of the counter but no one tells you about this upon ordering therefore food just gets left sitting there. Ingredients that were promised on menu items were left out of food creating a flavourless breakfast. When approached staff about this there was not offer to make a new one they just dumped the cold ingredients on top of what was supposed to be a hot breakfast. I understand if this is how you want to continue to run your outlet but you won’t survive long when there are so many other well operated venues around you."
