"We arrived just before 7pm for a 7pm booking. The man at the front desk was on the phone and gave no indication he even saw us standing in front of home. When he got off the phone he said what can I do for you. I thought that was very obvious but I said we have a booking for 7, under our name. No smile, no reparte, he just grabbed a couple of menus and said follow me. The restaurant wasn't full but he showed us to a table less than 2 meters from the noisy kitchen. When I said I'd prefer not to sit next to the kitchen he said there are tables in the foyer, which was kind of a storage area for chairs not a foyer and very dark. We sat there because it was quiet, even though there were other tables in the main room and outside. He had not asked which we preferred. He just dumped the menus on the table and walked off. We started to read the menu and another waiter walked up with a bottle of water and poured us a glass. He did not ask if we would like a drink, or explain the menu or the specials. Or say someone would come soon. He just silently walked off This was the worst service I have had in a restaurant for a very long time. We got up and left and ate at the Thai restaurant across the road. This was the first time we had eaten out for ages. And it was a belated 20th anniversary dinner. I shall be calling the owner/manager to pass on this feedback."

"My husband and airing are new to the area, trying to find the local coffee places is high on our list when we move to a new city.We don't normally go for a 'chain' type coffee shop as the food, we've found to be a bit hit and miss. However, this place is great, it's either new or refurbished as the space is super clean, great seating options, good meeting space and the menu was great.Service was spot on, there was a minor mix up with my tea, but that would be no reason to mark down what I feel will be a regular spot for a coffee and to watch our new neighborhood go by."

"This restaurant right by the beachfront is a gem. It gets bustling with locals on weekends. I particularly enjoyed the delicious fried dishes, and the coffee was exceptional. "We were a bit sceptical trying this shop after the bad reports of customers who went there. Now we get some great food with quite a variety and it is lovely particularly the chips. The owner Angela uses her own crumbing ingredients to coat the fish. There is a small outdoor area where customers can sit and eat. There are always people there. All staff are very friendly and obliging. A really happy place."
