"Yesterday was my first time to visit the Purple Onion. I got the New Orleans pasta and the fish and chips. I also tried the fried pickles for an appetizer along with the Pearl Margarita. I really liked the fried pickles. They were thin cut with a light breading. They came hot from the fryer, and they were not too greasy. The pasta was pretty good, but the shrimp and crawfish tails were a bit overcooked. The fish and chips were perfectly cooked, and the breading was not too heavy. It really let the fish shine through. The Pearl Margarita was not served in a traditional glass, but rather what you would expect with a Long Island Ice Tea. The flavors mixed well, but I was not able to get the Grand Mariner flavor even though it was supposed to be floated on top. I also thought the portion was a bit small for a $10 drink. My server, Alex was wonderful. Definitely a 5 Star experience. She made up for anything that was a little lacking with the meal. Overall this was a very pleasant dining experience. I recommend a visit here, and I will be back."

"I live directly from this place and have never been there until today. I missed a boy! The owners are so nice, and the atmosphere was so peaceful. Love the decor! I bought a local honey and my sharp Chia-Tee-Latte was so good. I'm a regular!!"

"I love this café. Sends a Facebook message on late Friday night to pick up 6 sandwiches and 10 waffle accounts for me Saturday morning at 10. You were ready for me on time. The sandwiches were amazing. The waffles are so good. Everything was fresh and very tasty. I had my one year old with me and the lady at the counter got my whole food and followed me out of my car without hesitation. This place offers great food and even more customer service. You get 5 stars from me."

"Went today 7/5/2022 at 130pmOnly reason it is getting 2 stars instead of 1 is the food was decent that was the only "saving grace "The service was the worst I ever seen, they had 4 waitresses a manager and 6 total tables of guests.Took 20 minutes to get cream for coffee girlfriend and I ate and almost finished our food and had to share with the kids because the kids plate took 15 minutes longer after we got ours. Didn 't get a single refill on our teas. Two other tables walked out before ordering because of the wait and lack of service.Went to pay had an argment with the waitress because I told her I needed 1 of the 2 teas taken of the ticket because I 'm not paying $3.50/ $7.00 total for 2 teas when we didn 't get a single refill and she said but you drunk it so you gotta pay for it and when I tried to explain it always says free ultimate refills and we didn 't get a single one finally got the manager and she didn 't want to but finally took 1 of the teas off of the ticket. You can not expect someone to pay $3.50 for A SINGLE CUP OF TEA WHEN NOBODY COMES TO REFILL YOUR GLASS when you been there for 60 minutes.Honestly the wait staff and manager were lousy and some of the worst I 've seen. Food was good but thats the only positive thing I can say spent $40+ bucks and not worth it even with the food being good it was just an awful experience."
