"We came to this bar accidentally during a long walk. We just went to try their coffee (bica) but we then decided to order a toast. This is not a chick and modern bar, it's very traditional but spacious, clean and the food quality is amazing. Excellent service and unbelievably cheap prices. Really worth a visit"

"Both the service and food here was fantastic. I ended up here 3 times during my stay. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. It was like being at a friends house. The food was super tasty with alot of vegetarian choices … I would recommend...the bruschetta and the pizza parmigiana. I’d definitely return again when I’m back in Madeira."

"This place is very popular with the locals and I can see why. The food is ridiculously reasonable and delicious and home cooked. I strongly recommend the swordfish fillet which was only €5! The manager was really friendly and the place was very clean. I will definitely come again."

"We got quick friendly service although the restaurant was quite full. We had the chicken espetada, which was nicely seasoned but not crisp - grilled without the skin. The mixed fish platter had three different fish on it: a sardine, a kind of sea bass (previously frozen, the fat under the skin had an aftertaste), and merluza. It was our fault, though: We should have asked, which fish is in season and fresh in winter."

"Not only clinging to the cliffs but is built out of the cliff, lovely setting with terrace. A good restaurant for fish, I had the local speciality that our taxi driver recommended which was scabbard fish with banana, slightly unusual but nice.All the food was delicious, the waitress was lovely. This looks like it would be a good daytime stop for ice cream as well."
