"For those of you who are old enough to explore the way back, the joys of France with this man as your guide will appreciate what is a find. Old France best. The food was simple, healthy and delicious. The quality of the ingredients for the price of the menu was incredible. The starter buffet included both old favorites and new turns and was challenging in its diversity and quantity. The steak actually tasted beef; something of a rarity in Britain nowadays, unless you pay much more. The puddings were traditional, but very beautiful and mostly faites a la maison. The greeting was real and, although not pretentious, it made you feel comfortable and comfortable. The house wine, complete with the menu, was very pale and I cost much worse in bottles in other places. The bill was probably the biggest surprise of the visit and would have been acceptable if it was twenty euros more. An unambiguous find and we have thought to dinate there several times, but never came to him, but will definitely do this when next in Chatillon. Even if you take a few days off on their demi or pension-complet offer that seems amazing. They have been there for 35 years and I can see why they have survived on a very competitive market. Vive la France."

"Delicious pizza cooked in wood fired oven. Sat outside but tables were shaded. Friendly efficient service and lovely welcome. We had the shared starter but didn't need it. Very limited choice of soft drinks but house wine was good. No wTer served with meal though."

"There is some very skilled cooking going on here employing some of the best of traditional French technique but with modern presentation. We ate warm fruits de mer in a light bisque, delicious, veal sweetbreads, tender and cooked beautifully with truffles in a tasty sauce and well seasoned gratin potatoes, lamb chops again delicious and tender and a lovley caramelised apple Mille feille. Couldn't manage it but the cheese board looked great too. With a really good wine list and service to match and sitting in the lovley garden I can't fault this restaurant and look forward to returning."

"Arrived on a bike, usual stage in Chatillon for lunch in the south. Electric ring in town. A cleaning sandwich would be enough, but no, all the rest coffees threw us out. It takes power to make a sandwich in Chatillon .... We ended up failing in this little kebab without pretention. Excellant reception. Good food. Talk to the boss, a little stop. In the future, we forget the others and drive Ali Baba for such a relaxed and cheap pose. It's like random things are good."

"Bonne brasserie, les prix sont corrects, le personnel est sympathique mais si le serveur manquait un peu d'expérience. Les plats sont bons, large choix dans le menu du jour (choix entre 2 à 3 plats principaux). Pour les hamburgers j'ai trouvé qu'il n'était pas assez énorme un peu aplati pour un hamburger maison qui normalement doit avoir un bon volume."
