"Hotel is clean, room was comfy, i did not eat in restaurant, too expensive, breakfast is not worth the 18 francs they charge you, i was on fifth floor, attic room with no view of the lake, lift only goes to fourth floor. hotel is 10 min walk up hill from station. chexbres is 10 mins on train to vevey"

"We had lovely locally smoked fish salads and a desert from the bakery. We loved it. Just what we wanted on a gorgeous sunny Terrace overlooking the lake. Staff are great too. I think some of the reviewers are being unfair on this place expecting...something you might get in a restaurant with Michelin stars!"

"After the visit to Chaplin's World, the group went to the Auberge. We wanted to eat along the lake. The Auberge de Rivaz was ideal. It has a very nice terrace with a view of the lake and the surrounding vineyards. Too chilly to eat outside so the organizer had reserved a large dining room for 18 of us. Food was good, served warm which was great. I think we were served by the owner who was most friendly and obliging. White wine to start off followed by a good red from the region. We had a set menu so I did not see a menu. I know they do serve pizzas as well."
