"Not sure why people would say these are the best pork rolls. The roll itself was soft (vietnamese banh mi are especially crispy and stale. Pork was cold and flaccid and they had no Vietnamese mayonnaise (bơ . Waste of $8, drive to Springvale and buy one for $5 that is 1000 times better."

"The pie was edible. I stuck my head in Carinish Hot Bread after I got off the train on my way to work a shift at the psych ward in Monash Hospital, attracted by the 'Pasticceria ' part of the sign, hoping I could get coffee and a pastry. No dice on the coffee. I rocked back in at lunch to buy a pie, because it looked like your typical Aussie sort of joint. I hope I don 't sound racist when I say I was surprised that the guy in charge is Korean. Clayton has a large Korean population, from the look of the shops, so it 's only natural they 'd do some baking. The product line that I saw was totally dinky-di, though.<br/ <br/ I had a beef pie, the kind with a slurry of mince in the crust. The bloke said he made it in-house; that it wasn 't bought from Bocastle or somewhere. I 'm easy to please with pies. Anything that has a crust is 75% of the way to winning my heart from the outset. This one was OK, as large as my hand 's breadth with the fingers spread, no funky oniony or weird spicy flavours to the mince, and not so full of salt or MSG that I got a thirst attack later. I forget whether the price was $4 or $4.50, but it was a fair deal. I 've had worse pies prepared by ridgy-didge Aussies, so onya Korean baker-man!"

"I’ve been wanting to visit this venue for sometime now and we finally made it in for lunch on a Saturday. The first thing I noticed was how much seating there was and that there were other families eating too. It’s a very casual venue and you need to order at the til.<br/ <br/ The owner Paul and his staff member working were both very friendly! We sat outside in the spacious courtyard, where kids could quite easily stretch their legs and not be on top of the table next to yours. We were told the Italian Classic Double is the most popular, but opted to try the Clayton Classic (and Double) this visit. We ordered bacon egg sandwich for the kids.<br/ <br/ Despite a queue before us, our meals were prompt. The steak was tender and delicious! Even Esther enjoyed eating some. Every element in the sanga was delicious! This place is definitely worth checking out. We will be returning soon to try their Italian Sausage!"

"Won 't be back. $17 for what 's in that photo. It said bread, I expected naan, not $0.20 white bread rolls. I arrived and there were about 8 people waiting. I made my order and waited, and waited, and waited in the cold, at night, saw someone who ordered after get their food and finally got my food after almost 30 minutes. They should have said there would be a long wait. Really poor service. Rant done, I ordered the Dabeli $6) which tasted okay and the Bhaji Pao 11), which did have quite good flavours. I am still very hungry and for $17 I expect to be full. I really wanted this place to be a 'hidden gem ' as I love Indian food, and I love street food but what they are offering at...read more"
