"Honestly, I'm not usually looking for a gourmet experience on my travels. A good lunch consisting of fresh ingredients cooked like the locals do it is just fine. I liked the look of this place, slightly off the beaten track and slightly run-down. The waitress...was lovely and helpful. We ate in the rather gloomy dining room upstairs. The first course of soup was really delicious: good chicken broth with orzo-like pasta and pieces of shredded chicken. Then my partner had fresh fried fish and I had veal, served promptly and with rice and chips. It was good and plentiful. We loved the red wine which was purple and slightly sweet. The bill was about euros. What's not to like!"

"Great spot for coffee, even though everyone else was lining up for lunch! We stepped out of the car park where we had parked the rental and this is the first spot that we saw. How lucky were we? Friendly, helpful and what a beautiful setting. Just a little off the tourist trail, only just, but full of locals lining up for lunch, which looked great. All we needed was coffee, and of course a Portuguesas Tart for one of us. Set at the back of the cathedral, at the base kf a staircase and next to a monument and water feature. After spending some time wandering around the town, I knew that we had lucked onto a very good spot for our break."

"We were looking for a very local restaurant with typical food and very good price,all this was on the night of serenata , were all the restaurants are Overbooked with large groups. Anyway,we 're arrived there at 7pm,they 're closed and the staff were having dinner,they were very friendly they said they were full but they could get us a wee space after 7.30. We arrived there as discuss and we ordered,the food was very quick and DELICIOUS, bread and butter; a massive mixed of grilled pork, kidney bean rice, chips, salad; massive jug if red wine; orange and a delicious dessert and was just 21€ The only down of the restaurant was the WC wasn 't clean. Overall I recommend this place"

"I was attracted to the menu of this restaurant and enjoyed a lovely lunch at the FIA fair.Nice carrot soup and a very tasty steak with fries,rice and salad.our waiter was very sweet and accommodating. If you fine between 12:30And 2:30, your ticket can be used for a discount.I enjoyed my meal and look forward to visiting the real restaurant when in the area."
