"It was a holiday, so most places were closed, and we happened to find this spot. We're from the San Francisco Bay Area, so there are no shortages of good Thai restaurants. First of all, the service was inconsistent. We were guided where to sit, but we weren't given menus. After several awkward moments, we went up and grabbed menus. Moments later, another couple came in, and they were sat, given menus, and had their orders taken. Same thing happened for another couple who walked in. The waitress gave them menus, took their orders, and within minutes came out with food. This made me furrow my eyebrows, which then caught the attention of the cook in the kitchen, and then she went over to take our order. I have no idea why she ignored us for the ten minutes we had waited there. She knew we were there. The place wasn't busy. I would have walked out if it weren't for the fact that most places were closed that day. Anyway, we ordered vegetarian yellow curry and red curry. Both were awful. The red was overly sweet and salty, and sort of tasted more like Panda Express Chinese food, and the yellow curry was spiced mildly, with a slimy consistency, and lacked any salt. So, if that's your idea of an authentic Thai meal, then you'll love this place."

"I have just return from a great quiche and salad at Kafe Local. Once again the service was substandard for outside customers. We had to go in a one point to order drinks only one of which turned up. Then when we paid the...bill, NO INVOICE was possible. Apparently, thier electronic till had broken down and they also did not possess a receipt book to give a hand written copy. Since I was there with a client and therefore needed some documentation for my tax advisor, I will not take the risk again."

"After some serious shopping, nothing beats having a nice cup of hot chocolate especially in a cold cold day. I opted for the bitter one, its not too sweet. Very nice combination with my lemon cake. The staff are very friendly. A homey place to spend some afternoons with friends and families."

"The venue is located near the Friesen Platz. The restaurant and bar has a large inside dining area. The decoration was done with a lot of enthusiasm and it looks real Cuban. I had a drink only, a Whisky Sour which was OK. The service was OK."
