"The journey to this cafe is very calming and picturesque. Marinas along the way. Water views. The road is narrow and windy, and many people are biking this route. When you arrive, the restaurant sits along the water front with a marina view. I recommend the patio if the weather permits. We started with drinks and coconut prawns. We shared the snapper burger and fries with a cup of chowder. Assume of the best seafood chowder I've had. It was amazing! For dessert, I highly recommend the carrot cake. Moist, flakey, creamy frosting with maple whip cream. The staff was attentive, and the restaurant was clean. A must go!Vegetarian options: Falafel wrap or rice bowl, salads"

"What more can I say about the heavenly A&W. Like my last review, this A&W holds up to the quality that I have been blessed with in the past few months. This A&W stands out with its incredibly fast service, I practically had the food in my mouth by the time the order slipped out of my lips. It’s been said that A&W is a family restaurant, and it couldn’t be more true. I came here with friends and I left with family."

"Longer lineup but they flew thru it at the drivethru and Wendy's by woodgrove is always top shelf. Recommend the #4 or spicy chicken burger add cheese and bacon and u got a delicious lunch or dinner. Also the Ceasar side salad is high line compared to others for excellent price, the dressing is the best I've had and real shaved parmesan cheese and real bacon make for a amazing salad. My 1st choice when in Nanaimo. Keep up the quality guys. Keeping that bar set high and it costs less than smeat on a bun like you know who chain. 3x better"

"We ordered sandwich. It came with a bowl of ”greens” which had maybe a quarter of a radish slice paper thin and greens! Supposed to be a side salad?!The sandwich was a grilled cheese and was so greasy I couldn’t eat it. The waitress did not bring cutlery or my drink until reminded and it took so long for her to even take our order and bring our bill. Not busy at all in the place. My husbands fries were greasy and flat. If you don’t eat meat..well charged the same for your meatless meal unless you tell them. The burger was so dry and the “fixins” flat and unappetizing. Short staffed..no..I think the time of “good” food is gone in these “diners” that were once the best home-cooked food. Second try…we won’t be back…sadly!!"
