"I enjoyed my plantain tacos in mole sauce, and liked the vegan enchiladas even more, but I personally don’t think it’s enough food or substance for the price. If they added vegan meat and cheese options to the dishes in their menu I’d be more tempted to return. However the ambience was nice and it server was very friendly."

"Pass Pass Pass. Visited the Bake Shop to try their coveted Left Hander Burger. Went with 3 other and here is what happened. I ordered the burger and Liza the steak sandwich, we also had 2 glasses of Pinot each... The Pinot was basic and they charged $10.00 a glass. So $40.00 for 4 Glasses bottle was not available) I ordered the burger and Liza the Steal sandwich both with Onion rings an up sale from the waitress). Rings were burnt so I asked they be redone and they were burnt a 2nd time, when I told the waitress she shrugged her shoulders. We finished our meal and ordered a 2nd drink, not 2 minutes after served we we being asked if we wanted the check, we said we didn't know if we were done and she came back 3 times within 5 minutes. Server took Liza's glass 1/2 full and Liza had to say to wait as she was not finished. When we did get the check the amounts were totally off. We asked that it be correct and she seamed upset. I buy local and the service here was horrible. I'd stay away from this place, plenty of other places in Deland that treat customers right. PS I still left a 20%Tip."

"Right when I walked in it smelt like coffee, super sweet people!! It?s just right when I walked in we went to find a seat the tables were dirty, so we asked a worker where we could sit and they said in the back, so we came to the back and it has a sofaand nice sitting area. It?s just right when we walked it the tables were dirty and they acted fine with it and said, ?Oh justgot to the back? but everything else was good, just not the best vibes here!! Drinks were good though!! ????"

"First time here it won't be the last! I had the fried chicken and it was great! Very juicy! The breading was just right and what a taste! Do NOT pass up on having the corn bread! It's amazing! Ask for butter better than the little packets on the table. Husband had the pile o' gizzards. Im not a fan but he said they were excellent! Saw a guy having the meat loaf and he said it was very good! Open 24/7 they NEVER close! Waitresses are sweet will get you ANYTHING you want! LOVE the homey feel of the place starting with the comfy chairs! We could sit there for hours! They treat EVERYONE like family! 5 stars is not enough! Im giving them 10!"
