"Normally I am very rare to give less stars, but this time I do. Summary first: do not eat at Warung Bude Kati (in my personal humble opinion! . Positive things to mention: There are tables and chairs and it is warm and dry. The prices are moderate. We went to the restaurant just because it was dark, cold, stormy and rainy, and our first choice restaurant was too crowded. So we looked for other Indonesian restaurants nearby with considerable rating and this is how we found this Warung. When you have a look around inside you will quickly find reasons not to stay here. One lamp on the wall has not been fixed, and when you have a look downstairs or into the kitchen, you will learn that cleanliness is not the owner's main interest. Not paying any attention to a proper appearance (clothes, shoes is one thing. Using the same latex gloves all the time touching everything does turn the original meaning, hygiene, into the opposite. We had ordered a meal with rice in the middle of the dish and four choices from the ready-made foods from the cooling (Nasi Campur . It would have taken a maximum of five minutes to serve our order, instead we had to wait for about one hour! Unacceptable. The vegetables we had were still okay, but the beef rendang and the spicy beef were a big disappointment. The restaurant claims itself to serve authentic Indonesian food, but honestly, we have had much better, even in the Netherlands! The Rendang was not even close to what we have had before, and the spicy beef was quite hard and chewy already. The sweet chicken is the only choice of chicken, but even that was not very nice. This is the first time after many visits of good restaurants that my wife and me feel the need to write this kind of critical review. From our point of view, do not eat here. To the owners: Try to put yourself into the position of your guests and see your restaurant with their eyes. Normally people tend to become a bit blind for such things after a while, consider my words as a wake-up call. For potential customers, maybe you want to spend your time and money somewhere else."

"We used to come here a lot. Unfortunately berfore the renovation the cuisine used to be much better. Kimchi is not kimchi and steak tartare is not steak tartare. The fries used to be delicious, now just ordinary fries you can get at every cheap diner. The prices are higher too. Generally very disappointed as it used to be our family place to meet since we moved to the Hague."
