"Food was very good, but the staff, well could not have been more rude. It was 5 min to closing. They rudely advised, while staring not even a hello or May I help you) that we could order but we would have to hurry up and then wait outside. Where haskindness or even some level of customer service gone! We were handed our sandwiches, out side of course, no bag did I saythis was to go) No utensils, oh and of course not even a have a nice day?. Two sandwiches, two bags of chips, two sparklingwaters? $51.00!!!"

"Enjoyed two nights here this past week and I was blown away by the new space (The Faraway brand recently renovated Kelly House The main entrance and lobby are a work of art in of themselves. The vibe is modern and sexy and the intoxicating scent when you walk in will stay with you. Location in town can't be beat!The rooms are clean and modern with lots of attention given to design linens bath products etc. The basic room is HUGE and there was more then enough space to make the three of us comfortable . Apple TV in the room was a bit finicky, but once running it was nice to have access to Bravo HBO : The service was incredible both in the Hotel and the adjoining Restaurant The Pelican Club . Special shout out to Rebecca Johnson and LeighAnne McDonald in the Hotel and Justin Gonzalez at The Pelican Club for checking in on my family and making sure we taken care of !!!Front desk staff was personable , professional and seemed to enjoy working with us to provide some recommendations around town . My son and I sat In the lobby for a while and enjoyed some of their photography books which was a nice way to wait the rain out. Our only suggestion would be to perhaps add a water tea coffee service to the lobby experience for guestsThe pool and hot tub area are immaculately maintained and there was more than enough seating for everyone with extra space to spare. The snack shack at the pool came in handy for poolside treats : Overall this is a fantastic boutique hotel with an excellent location , a GORGEOUS DESIGN and a staff that truly seems committed to their guests' well being! I'm so glad Faraway is here to make us feel like we're home !!"

"This place is clearly very popular because there was a queue outside the restaurant before it opened for 5:30 p.m. dinner service on a very rainy Saturday night. Once open, the restaurant quickly filled up with diners. Tables tend to be closer together because of how busy it gets, and there are a lot of hard surfaces, meaning things can get a little loud. Service was the right level of attentive: staff were very friendly and they were good about clearing plates and utensils when it’s clear diners are done eating. The daily fish specials are posted on a chalkboard inside. Overall, the food was very good. The buffalo brussel sprouts with whipped blue cheese were very good but for $18? Feels steep. My husband enjoyed his tuna, which was served like an elevated poke bowl and had Asian influences. I got the seared cut cod special, and enjoyed the sweet corn and mushroom risotto that came on the side: it was appropriately warm and cozy feeling for the rainy day, and brightened by the bursts of sweet freshness from the corn."
