"A top of the line bakery in a top of the line shopping mall. Despite this the prices were comparable to outer suburbs bakeries whose offerings were not as good.The desert type slices are around $4 to $5 each. Meat pies were $4 for the standard and up to $5.30 for the fancy with most around $4.60. My chocolate paniere today had a filling of REAL CHOCOLATE! and only my waistline shouting "Stop! You can't do this to me!" prevented me from indulging in a delicious looking bread and butter pudding and a vanilla slice.Now for the main event. I love meat pies. The meatier the better. I have bought meat pies all over Australia and even in Bali,Thailand and Singapore. These are about as good as a meat pie can be. Comparable to the Port Douglas bakery whose meat pies were voted "Best in Australia" about thirty years back.Having said all that and having drooled over today's offerings and past favourites of "Bacon and Cheese" and "Curry" and "Potato", I thought....just for a change...I'll go vegetarian...Gasp...horror..did I really say vegetarian.Yes I did. Today's treat was a large serving of what looked like a big sausage roll but in fact was a "Pumpkin and Chick Pea Roll". It was unexpectedly delicious, savoury and filling. Large pieces of pumpkin and whole chick peas mixed in with a variety of vegetables. Yummy. See for yourself and Give it a go"

"There are several good places for coffee and cake around Burnside Village, but for us, Utzi is a front runner. There is a good selection of fresh cakes and they always take good care to get my cappuccino with lots of froth just right! There are just two factors which prevent me giving 5/5 here. One is the location in the midst of a busy pedestrian throughway. This inhibits any kind of intimacy, but others may think it adds to the interest. The other factor is the lack of table service: they send you a loud signal, and you have to pick up your order. Actually I did notice a frail old lady receiving table service. Perhaps I need to cultivate my feeble aged look!!"

"My wife and I have been visiting VPs weekly for lunch for many years. We know the employees with names and have a prepared order for our meal! Parking is easy, there is rarely a problem to find a table, the staff are friendly and go... the extra mile. We like to eat here. But this week we learn that VPs close its doors! Shock! Horror! The end of life as we know! The good news is that they will be reopened in a new larger and unclosed place close by... We'll be eager for news."

"We go there at least once a week to stock up. Everything there is lovely and fresh and it shows in the tasting. Meatballs, pasta, the zeppoles, the mini pizzas.......excellent. Ok might be a bit more expensive than the supermarket but you get what you pay for. Here is a pic of the wife's chicken tenders and chicken and sundried tomato pasta....see, speaks for itself."

"Nice shisha place, maybe the only shisha place in this region. The shisha quality is good. The only thing to improve is to have coffee and tea drinks."

"This used to a great business, unfortunately now it is very hit and miss in regards to quality of the product.They don’t “prepare” the raw ingredients for the salads on site just combine them to make the salads. The cooking is also done off site as well so understandably this business is at the mercy of their supplier/s.For example I used to love their chicken tenderloins, of late they have been small and over cooked to the point of being tough and burnt.Today I bought their pumpkin/bean/chickpea/feta/sundries tomato salad today. The pumpkin was so under cooked I could barely put a knife through it and the whole salad was somewhat tasteless.It is a pity the quality of the food has dropped because the staff there are always polite and friendly."

"This was my second visit and like the first one, it was great. The food is excellent (obviously prepared by a French chef) with attentive service, and the French background music contributes to the ambiance. The venue is charming and cosy with an up-market clientelle. Prices are reasonable for a French restaurant with food prepared by a master chef. I will definately return to this charming venue."
