"This is an amazing part of town and chalk cafe is worth a try. We've been here a couple of times and I'm always pleased with their Lebanese dips and veggies in particular their fried cauliflower and tabouli, it's always served with lots of Lebanese bread. They also make wood fire pizza and BBQ chicken."

"In the new refurbished club the Star Buffet lunch seems to be hitting the spot. There is a huge selection between seafood, Asian, carvery, dessert and beverages. I loved the sushi train. $3 buys you a bottomless cup of coke. The dining area has seating for 600 where you are seated. The buffet area needs a map, more signs would help. Food is freshly prepared and topped up. We were there for Sunday Lunch and got in early. Opens at 11:30am - 2:30 and various other times for dinner and weekdays."

"It was our first ever visit to El Sweetie - and it was a very pleasant surprise. The selection and variety was huge, the staff very helpful and even gave out a taste spoon for something that I had not eaten beforeComfortable lunge chairs welcome visitors to stay for a long time. Separate area for smokers which was nice to see.Selection is very large. From typical Lebanese, to Turkish delights and Pistacho halwa.You need to watch you waist here.Staff are really friendly and great. Well worth a visit after dinner in the area."

"Found this cafe about a year ago, and I really look forward to eating there on my trips to Sydney. Located just around the corner from the Sebel, it is a short walk, and so much better than the hotel breakfast. Freshly made vegetable juices, great coffee, and very tasty food, with a great selection of breakfasts available. The guy who runs it works very hard, with minimal help, but still serves up food in quick time, and in a pleasant cheerful manner."

"The Sardinian cook prepares of the wonderful fresh pasta and a series of other really Italian delicacies with excellent raw materials. After 10 days of Australian food, a real Tuscan! A libidine for my poor palate soaked by too much onion, sauces too tasty and the 'immancabile cursed cucumber (cetriol). Besides the staff is all Italian, professional and kind. It's worth a jump or two!"
