"A number of women from Curves gym go for coffee on Friday morning. Someone proposed EuroBar to have a table for six. When we arrived, our table was ready and the orders were taken quite quickly. Besides coffee, four of us ordered food. Here the wheels have dropped. After about 30 minutes I asked a server how long it would be before our meals would arrive. It was then discovered that the server that took our order had left our order on their notebook in their back pocket. So the order for the food had not been placed plus one of my friends coffee never arrived. At this stage we decided to quit our food, because many of us had other places to be and no longer wanted to wait around. No one also asked us if we wanted a second coffee/drink until the mistake was discovered. Basically they take your order and then never ask if things are okay. In this terrible time with COVID, you would think that the staff would be interested in ensuring that every order was fulfilled. Even the apology from the server was half-hearted. I have roughly added that they have lost a minimum of $60 in orders, plus we will go elsewhere in the future. Most Fridays are between 6 and 10 people in our group on Friday and we would have returned if the service was satisfactory. I can't recommend food as nothing we ordered."

"Had the unfortunate opportunity to have diner at SJ’s last night, absolutely disgraceful. It wasn’t busy and took an hour and half to get the food out and produced the entree after the main meal, no one finished there meals. As for the bar service, totally no existent and one of the staff had the worst BO. Never again, I’ve had 45 years in Hospitality and this was no where near standard. Wayne"

"The concept is great at Apothecary, and quite unique in Newcastle. Simple but delicious and very nourishing vegan food, locally sourced and presented very well. The kombucha is the best I have tried in Newcastle worth a visit just for that!! You leave feeling very nourished and satisfied, definitely worth a try."
