"I’ve been coming to Wine 101 since they were one of the only joints in that area. At that time, they were housed inside the little house-like structure which I believe now is a coffee shop. It was gorgeous. Fire pits sprinkled around the generously spaced out seating affording guests privacy and a little warmth in the cooler months. The previous owners did a bang up job of getting to know their customers. They routinely did rounds saying hello and asking how your stay was. You always saw them and they made lots of opportunities to speak to us. It became so comfortable that we became wine club members. The wine club held many perks including hosting events strictly for members. —Smart business practice given that during the COVID lockdown, the monthly memberships sustained Wine 101 during those lean times. Unfortunately, the new ownership has not taken the lead. I believe the new owners took over nearly a year and a half ago. I’m still a member but have yet to meet the new owner. And unless I’m mistaken-there hasn’t been any kind of meet-and-great for the wine club. I don’t expect a lot, but it would be nice to see the owners coming around to the tables-to introduce themselves and say hello. Open communication goes a long way I still enjoy coming out and sitting under those glorious treesbut the shine is off the penny. The food is still good although the prices have jumped rather drastically (the cheese board went up about $10). And I’m glad to see a salmon appetizer back on the menu. I hope for the sake of the business, the new ownership do more to make their customers feel welcome and appreciated. It would be a shame to loose this -once-little gem. New owners: please do better."

"Bill?s is usually a consistent, reliable family favorite. I can usually count on Bill?s food to please the entire family, any time of day. Today, however, disappointment would be in store. The marbled brisket, the usual center piece of a dinner, was made up of a greasy collection of hacked pieces of random sizes from all over the brisket, as if a Samurai warrior had attacked a brisket and collected the pieces and given them to us. The green beans had pieces of raw onion, throughout. The fries were super crispy, so that the fluffy center was gone, as if they had been left under a warmer much too long. Our slaw was so full of sweet vinegar that it nearly entirely covered the slaw in liquid, as if the dregs of the bucket was emptied into our portion of slaw. The only respite was the extra cheesy, mac and cheese. Will I go back? Sadly, not to that location, one too many anomalies. I?ll continue to feed my family by visiting another delicious Bill?s location."

"Fun visit to the tap room in Old Town Helotes this weekend. The bartender was very friendly and came out to our table to see if we needed another beer. There is plenty of outdoor seating and the wine and coffee available at the shops next door are great for anyone in your group that doesn?t drink beer. A perfect spot for a drink in a relaxing atmosphere."

"Good day.. Me an the husband stopped in our way to a concert down the road.. He had a burger with tater tots an I had a chicken ceaser salad also a portion of Mac and cheese which was very cheesy Mmmmmm.. Everythin was deLish.. Took a brownie an some ice cream to go.. The brownie was made with lots of love they told me.. Definitely will be back.. Thank you for your service.. SmiLe.. Enjoy!!!!! Food: 5"

"Came for a pumpkinsau and stayed for lunch. The manager and the entire staff were very friendly and helpful, and the café has a very warm, rustic atmosphere full of charm from the old town of Texas. I will definitely come back for more freshly baked treats!"

"Love love! This is a great place to have coffee/tea or food. I took my children and mother to breakfast and it was amazing. They have children's menu and my daughter loved their delicious waffles with fruit. The coffee was on point and the prices were very reasonable. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I very much appreciate that they give military discount and I will often be back. This will be my new favorite coffee house!"
