"It was a quiet Saturday afternoon in Homehill, most of the town was at the sporting fields watching the cane cutting competitions when we happened upon Cutters Cafe in the Malpass Hotel. As a previous reviewer has said what a find . I ordered the...prawn cutlets which were freshly cooked with a light tempura batter served with a deliciously dressed salad. My other half opted for the Cutters Burger which was huge said to be delicious. The lady who served us was very friendly very attentive. The walls of the cafe are adorned with interesting old photos depicting the methods of cane cutting in years gone by. If passing through Homehill around lunch time, Cutters Cafe is well worth stopping for."

"We called on the way to townsville. there was a game group and we made ourselves at the group and in the caffe. there were about three more couples and many free spaces. So we sat down and saw... in the menu we wanted to have lunch and coffee. noone came closer so my wife went to the counter. behind the theke was a strictly looking dame, which messes with some post-stick notes. while only a few meters apart she never looked up once, no one realized that we were there and no one was watching us. I watched this with interest and thought it was strange. after a few minutes this scenario had not changed and the rude post stick lady had not even looked up yet. so they can imagine that we have risen and gone. back to the group of games, no one disturbed to speak or something. please let this place rest, they are rude!"
