"We have found the Starbucks locations in the Kanata area so poor that we had all but given up on finding a good one. But, since we happened to be in South Kanata today, we decided to try the one location we hadn't tried yet on Eagleson Road. And we were pleasantly surprised. Service was friendly and efficient. I always ask if the brewed decaffeinated coffee has been freshly made because I know from past experience that Starbucks brewed coffee can be left sitting for hours (and can therefore be undrinkable). The cashier wasn't sure if it was fresh, but offered to make a Decaf Americano in lieu. This is the approach taken by the best Starbucks locations and meant that my coffee was excellent. We also had two Double Smoked Bacon Cheddar and Egg breakfast sandwiches, which we also enjoyed. This location is definitely a cut above the other Kanata locations. My only negative comment is that the freshness of the brewed decaf was unknown. Surely it would be better to throw out the coffee after, say, 20 minutes rather than have a customer have to complain about it?"

"By all standards, McDonalds is....well, McDonalds. So by that account, we all know what the food tastes like. the food was presented well and why I actually thought to write a review on this particular McDonalds was because the guy at the cash actually remembered me only from one previous visit about a 5 days back which was nice and added a personal touch to the service which is tough to come by at any fast food joint (typically)."

"What a gem. If you want a fresh authentic Italian sandwich, Pesto's is the place for you. Located in what appears to be a run-down plaza, it's quite a nice surprise once you give it a try. Ingredients are fresh and you can tell a lot of thought was put into the flavour combinations. My two favourite sandwiches are the meat ball and prosciutto. They also sell fresh pasta as well as other Italian delicacies that are hard to find in mainstream grocery stores. This is a busy lunch spot, and it's easy to understand why."
