"If they travel the A75 autobahn to or from Central South France (agde, beziers, perpignan etc. or Eastern Spain and need an autobahn stop, they consider the 49 connection point of the Caylar services. enter the autobahn and meet their fuel and toilet requirements in the services. then, instead of driving in the very standard car train cafeteria, or go 150 meters from the back of the service park in direction la fournil du larzac, a modern family-run boulangerie and terrace. they cannot miss it, it has designed a very large “Boulangerie Patisserie” sign on its dach to see from the service parking place. it offers some of the best brot in france (and therefore in my look at the world) along with excellent cakes and pastries, both sweet and sweet. there is a large café area so they can sit and have a hot or cold drink while they try a croissant or cake. in the background you can see how the bakers big dough pieces around heaving. they also offer simple sandwiches (ham, cheese etc. made with their brot. it is clean and simple and much better than the services. it also offers a small selection for local products, tinted meat, wee, honey, etc., ideal for the local gifts they have forgotten. if they want to be on camp for their holiday or picnic, they can get brot etc. here and another 40 meters to an excellent SPAR convenience store and, if you want more, another 40 meters to an excellent metzger. if you want to include a small light tourism, another 100 meters are the village centre of le caylar with its unusual carved tree."

"On a warm but windy day in july, we stopped at this town by accident when we took a wrong turn. What a lucky chance! We found this excellent little cafe with the most delicious filled rolls and homemade products. All the sandwiches have full explanations and the proprietor is helpful and charming. I had the vegan, but we all tasted each others choices and they were all good. We also had the refreshing citronnade to wash it down with. With a commitment to local producers and home-made fare I highly recommend this restaurant, in addition to which, you can walk it off up the hill where there are the remains of some medaevel houses and a superb view at the top. We liked it so much we came back 2 days later to try the other options on the menu. There is also a dish of the day, but we didn't try this as it contained meat and we are vegetarian. One word of advice, get there early as he is closed by 2pm."
