"I have eaten here on several occasions over the years whilst visiting the area. This cafe is completely unpretentious and serves good quality cakes and very reasonable prices. It is always a must if in the area."

"It became clear to us through our stay near Lenzkirch, that there really isn't much on offer restaurant-wise in this small town: a couple of cafés, two or three Italian and this Greek one. You wouldn't know it by the name: it seems a traditional German town-centre restaurant was taken over by Greek owners, keeping its name, fixtures and fittings by the looks of it, but we being one of only two tables on this late-summer Tuesday evening, I wonder if they took all the previous establishment's custom? But perhaps this is the trouble: it's a sleepy town, and the quiet and polite waitress told us that business is also unpredictable. It was a very good, hearty meal we enjoyed, actually. Basic fare of a broad bean starter, followed by substantial grill platters of well cooked lamb and pork of various types, accompanied by pommes frites and good salads. The house red wine was also reasonable. Although we actually wanted German fare, we ended up enjoying this meal a lot. For those of us on foot, however, it seems there is an opening for a good German 'Gasthof' in central Lenzkirch?"

"I always come here when I'm here to get some of the fresh cakes and chocolates in this real bakery and coffee house. The typical German cheesecake and the Black Forest Cake are my favorites, but my friends and family are equally popular...other varieties. You should try the excellent chocolates. You can also have a (German) coffee in a kind of friendly, slightly old fashion Auntie Rose ambience, there is a terrace, in summer your children can have an ice cream, and it is a good starting point for visiting the authentic and beautiful village Lenzkirch or a trekking tour towards Wutach Gorge."

"Thanks to another TA reviewer, we brought this inn out of our hotel. I had been set a bit off from his position at the edge of a campsite, and in the way it looked from outside, turned out...as always to offer us a nice meal, and was indeed a pleasant place to dine clean, tidy and comfortable. Service was efficient and polite. Good, solid Germanic farewell was what we were looking for, and is what we got. My only negative comment would be that everything was very fat, maybe this is for the course in such a restaurant, but be careful. Our Wiener Schnitzel and Steak were both served with delicious pan roasted potatoes with diced onion and bacon. The steak also came with a good house made mushroom sauce. Although there was a considerable menu of ice desserts that looked tempting, we were stuffed after our meals to manage something else. Give this a piece; not only overlook it in favor of the Gashof Rogg brewery only steps on the main road."
