"We were on a boat on the canal and stopped at Ménétréol to visit the hill town of Sancerre and view the vineyards on the slopes. The Floroine was really the only option to eat in the village the night we were there. The menu...is pretty standard with good value formules on offer. We mixed and match the and course options and thoroughly enjoyed the food. Like the decor not fancy but good. They have a range of the local wines on the menu available by the glass, quarter litre etc. This was good as it allowed us to order quarter litres of four different wines (at no premium from ordering bottles) and compare them. All were inexpensive siblings of the very expensive wines from the adjacent village of Sancerre. Great food, great service and great value!"
