"Small and cozy place right in the main shōtengai/shopping street with roof. Easy to find. Only can serve 4 at the same time. Number of lunch plates is limited (10 in and 10 take aways , so reservation can only help. Lunch was delicious (on a smaller side , dessert is also served (11:30-14:30 . Probably best hōjicha ice cream i ever had. I came in the middle of cooking class, so they asked me politely to come back or have take away. I returned and didn’t regret : ."

"So happy to find this gem ! The staff were so friendly and chatty telling us about his coffee experience in Melbourne and then bringing that back to Nara in japan! Serves bonsoy in soy coffees , cafe has a friendly great vibe and vegan carrot cake was yum! We arrived 3o mins before close time so only had 1 slice of cake but we bought it straight away and had a coffee and we didn’t feel rushed at all! Went back on day 2 for coffee again and this time we had a Japanese red bean jaffle with a coffee and sat in the beautiful sunushine !"

"We found this amazing vegetarian restaurant on our visit to Nara. The food was delicious and would recommend anyone looking for authentic Japanese cuisine. On top of that the hospitality was out of the world. We had a great time and will definitely visit again on our next trip to Nara."

"I was looking for Kururu, but it was closed. This cafe is only a few meters down the alley from there, after you turn right coming from the station. There is no English menu outside but they do have one inside. It is listed on some maps as a non-profit organization, because that’s how it’s run, at least from what I could gather from their English menu. The lunch set is delicious, vegan, and comes with local delicacies. The setting and atmosphere inside are wonderful it is in an old traditional house. There’s a sign at the door that says children under 6 are not allowed. Careful not to smash anything if carrying a big backpack."

"In conclusion, not worth the price. Cleaning is not thorough. Soundproof is bad. The hotel is old. Only the breakfast is nice with variety traditional Nara's food."
