"The issue I had was when we arrived our table was not ready. We were advised that sometimes people do not show and if someone walks in they will give your table away. We had to go for a walk and come back minutes later. The food and service was great. I told them that it is best they do not take reservations so the public knows what to expect. If they say they take reservations they need to honour this. We were not the only ones who had to wait for up to an hour to get seated"

"The service model seems to have changed again recently. Now you wait as long as you would for good food! Service was slow and ignorant. Tables hadn’t been cleaned bathrooms were disgusting. Save yourself the frustration and go literally anywhere else that serves food."

"I have eaten at the Benchmark many times and have always been delighted. Yesterday's experience makes me consider a serious rethink. I was lunching with seven old friends celebrating years as founders of a local institution. The waiter was excellent; the food was a...considerable disappointment. It took forever to arrive and when it did I thought to return it to the kitchen but we had been nearly two hours and I was hungry and ate what was offered though it was below acceptable. Now several at the table seemed happy but not all. To make matters worse I am a retired faculty member so was doubly embarrassed. I will return with hopes."

"Stopped in for lunch and ate on the patio which was very well set up. We had Greek Chicken wrap with refreshing salad and Greek Chicken sandwich with Greek style French fries. Everything was yummy and portion very generous. Our server, Karen was delightful. This...was our second time here and would recommend Fournos for delicious food and excellent selection to choose from."

"Both the service and the food were horrible. We were there on Sunday, September for dinner. We asked for a wine, the waitress brought an other one, saying it would be better and the same price. It was bad and more expensive. The...soup had no taste. The salmon with mash avocado came with avocado that were not mash. It was more solid than a rock. The carbonara pasta came with no sauce, the steak, even if cooked properly, had no taste. The four of us were totally disappointed. When we left, an other couple was telling to someone not to go because it was horrible. So it was not only the four of us. Since it was very expensive, it was totally inacceptable."

"Came in here to browse and get some caffeine. Nice quaint little cafe. Got a double long espresso, it was made perfectly and was absolutely delicious. Would visit again for a an espresso or a coffee."

"Went for Sunday breakfast with another family. There were 9 of us (4 adults, 5 kids).Started off with the servers complaining about clearing off the table when parents don't clean up after their kids. Hello!!!! That's why parents bring their kids to restaurants!Waitress took our order and then disappeared! No refills on coffee or water and we waited almost 45 minutes for our breakfast. The table beside us, a group of 6, got their food before us even though they arrived after us. Had to go to the manager to make sure our waitress was still alive. She was!The kids were getting restless so my wife and daughter went for a walk and found some kids menus and crayons. The servers gave the kids NOTHING!Eventually our food arrived. The bacon was cooked perfectly, and the eggs were done correctly. The potatoes were very bland, but the worst thing about the breakfast was the syrup. What breakfast restaurant in Canada does not serve maple syrup with their pancakes? The syrup was plain and tasteless.We are in the Niagara area often, but we will never go back!"
