"Auf dem Rundgang "Biber Bäche Eifelwälder" hatten wir nach einem Lokal für ein Mittagessen gesucht und mit einem kleinen Abstecher dieses Lokal entdeckt. Das Personal, das uns bedient hat, war sehr freundlich. Getränke waren gut gekühlt, gab sogar ein Plätzchen zum Kaffee und beim Mittagessen war Suppe und Dessert dabei.Als Vorspeisensuppe gab es eine Rinderkraftbrühe mit grünen Bohnen als Einlage. Leider war die Brühe total überwürzt und viel zu stark. Als Hauptgang hatten wir einmal das Schweinefilet in Pfeffersauce und einmal ein Fischfilet, beide mit Pommes und Salat.Das Schweinefilet war okay, die Pommes sehr lecker, aber das panierte Fischfilet war kulinarisch absolut nicht zu empfehlen (Für meinen Geschmack deutlich schlechter als einfache Fischstäbchen). Das Salatdressing hat meiner Freundin und mir ebenfalls nicht sonderlich geschmeckt.Nun zum Nachtisch: Es gab einige Stücke Wassermelone, die an dem warmen Tag auch ganz erfrischend waren. (Leider keine Kugel Vanilleeis dazu auf dem Teller gehabt, wie die Gäste am Nachbartisch. Wir wissen aber auch nicht, ob diese extra dazu bestellt waren.)Insgesamt war es ein durchwachsenes Esserlebnis, das wir vermutlich aber nicht wiederholen werden.Aber: Das dem Personal innerhalb des Hauses anscheinend das Rauchen gestattet ist und es dieses auch tut, ist bei einem Restaurant für mich als Gast nicht verständlich und nicht akzeptabel."

"Unfortunately we stopped by Haus Seeblick in the middle of the afternoon, on our way from Heimbach to Monschau, so the kitchen was closed and we could only order drinks and cake, but the pastry was super; a 5 point rating and the sit-down on the balcony with the distant view on the Rursee was magnificent. The restaurant inside oozed hospitality and the service was impeccable. We will definitively have lunch or dinner at Haus Seeblick when again in the vicinity. It only calls for a better planning."

"Tolle Bewertungen hat das Café, also nichts wie hin! Aber an der Theke musste ich 30 Minuten anstehen, während meine Begleitung alleine am Tisch saß. Und es häuften sich die abgegessenen Teller und Tassen auf den Tischen, der Service schaffte das Abräumen nicht. Ja , wie war der Kuchen? Ich weiß nicht mehr, Atmosphäre und Service waren derart mies, dass der gute Kuchen nicht mehr viel ausrichten konnte. Das Café meiden? Selbst mal die Erfahrung machen!"

"There were two of us and we ordered an icecream and a piece of cheese cake with coffee. When the lady brought it all to us I kindly asked her glasses of water. To my surprise, she brought us two bottles of sparkling water...and moreover they were already opened. I told her that we don’t drink sparkling water she could have at least asked us if we wanted it with or without gas... In response, she started being very agressive saying that whenever you order water anywhere in Germany without mentioning which type you want, you will have sparkling water! This is absolutely not true and she was just trying to cheat on some foreign tourists who do certainly not know how it works in Germany as I suppose she was doing for years. By the way, she pointed out that we would have to pay for it since it had already been served in the glass. It was not about the money wasn’t expensive but about the attitude. The lady is in her fifties with short blond hair and glasses I noticed she had already been reported in one of the previous reviews for her unfriendliness no surprise. In the end, coffee was pretty bad but the cheese cake was even worse with artificial flavours. Fortunately, this place was the only negative detail of our visit of Nideggen. Just avoid if you don’t want to get bad vibes"
