"Want a pub with a nice atmosphere the Star and Garter is for you...the landlord, landlady and all the staff are always there to oblige....do not serve meals but the cobs are great. weekends are usually buzzing with the sports on tv. A great pub to go to."

"Zephs cafe is an independent cafe serving lovely foods and coffee along with the most beautiful cakes and scones. Their afternoon teas are in my opinion the best I’ve ever had and really reasonably priced. The cakes and scones are made on the premises and are absolutely amazing. They also provide a buffet service that’s very reasonably priced too. The themed 3 course meals are brilliant too."

"I don't like to leave bad reviews but I have been in here many times over a couple of years and the service has got worse and worse. Things forgotten or else you wait and wait while the waitress faffs about. The food when it comes though, is usually good. Given the demographic of most of the customers (60+ it's my belief they went in when they were in their 40s and have been waiting ever since) the choice music played seems a little odd. Radio stations that play auto tuned stuff like Tinchy Stryder et al. I like to support small local businesses, but I shan't bother going in again and will use Costa across the road. Best avoided if you are in a hurry. Or don't like Tinchy Stryder."

"Yesterday very well got into fairfield. they think the bar employees have done excellent work to manage the amount of people who showed up. they think the real pub could stand up with a make-over and up to date."

"Very nice food, but difficult if you are a Fussy eater. Rather expensive for a casual meal, and some of the food was not very hot. Slow delivery to the table especially for a Saturday night. The waitress was helpful and the attitude was very nice."

"I see the majority of the workers I think this place belongs to some bangladeshi. Although this is not bad here, but I will not call it as good as. the Indian food tastes sweet here, which it should not be. if you starve, you won't eat anything. for a meal for 4 adults we paid about £60, although it was not worth it."
