"We were close so that same bar made our basic. all staff were friendly and hard working and went out to help. we found eating well prepared and very tasty with good portions. the breakfast was always good and. snacks very pleasant. the evening meal was again well prepared and tasty especially the chicken dupiaza. Drinks were appreciated with good service throughout the day."

"We wanted to try some traditional Goan food and Fern's was recommended by the Lonely Planet. The service was good. The waiters advised us on spice levels so those of us who didn't want super hot were able to try things too. We had butter chicken, vegetable thali, kingfish in a local coconut curry and prawn caldeen. Food was good but not all of us would rush to have it again. Just a matter of personal taste but we liked giving things a go!! The toilet was lovely and clean - the females were impressed with the emergency female kit. Definitely a woman's touch here!"

"We had to check out of our huts at the Art Resort at 10am but our train was not until 11pm. We asked Sushan at Cafe Del Sol who was he most friendly and helpful person we'd met in Goa. He offered a hut for...us to stay in for half a day- the hut was clean, spacious and with air con and overlooking the beach for a third of the price that other larger places were offering If you want a friendly welcoming and hassle free stay in a bamboo hut with toilet, shower and a great view then come here!"

"..but don't expect happy, friendly people! In fact after six years my partner refused to go there. Not just because it is vegetarian but because of the pompous way the staff acts. I've heard them being so offhanded to someone asking about accomodation that I was tempted to warn them against it. The food is good and the grape juice yummy. There are hammocks to lay in but so many of the other beach places have happy, friendly staff that I'd rather go there and smile rather than feel I have to sit there and be looked down upon! And at a premium price!"
