"Our dinner at Moda is with The Fork’s generous 50% discount. Warmly greeted on arrival, we are shown to our table. Phuong Tran orders her Cocktail as I decide on our dinner. PT loves the Jungle Bird, a Cocktail of Campari, Rum and Pineapple juice. Before long, our meals from the open planned kitchen start to arrive. <br/ <br/ Harvey Bay Scallops are visually stunning. Plump Scallops are grilled with Spanish Ham, Saffron and Cauliflower then topped with watercress. Delicious!<br/ <br/ Orange Roughy is served with Saffron Potatoes and a Champagne Sauce. A great match! While I understand this is a quality fish, the serving is surprisingly small. <br/ <br/ Confit Duck Leg comes with Red Cabbage and apple Chutney and a fresh Salad. A generous serve and this Duck dish is nicely prepared. <br/ <br/ Riverina Beef Cheeks is served on a bed of sautéed Kale with a side of mashed purple Sweet Potato. The tender Beef Cheeks are nicely seasoned and delicious. <br/ <br/ We rate our dishes between 4 and 5! Special thanks to our jovial Bartender and the friendly helpful wait staff. The 50% discount provides amazing value for this highly rated restaurant. Our overall rating for this meal improves to a perfect 5!"

"It's my party I'll cry if I want to .., at least I felt like it after a few bites of my eye fillet 'petite' as they call it .. Chewy eye fillet is more like it .. The chicken breast that melts in your mouth as per menu description is more like a broiler chicken old and haggard and also chewy .. The bake potato was good the 'slaw' too dry ..on arrival due to it being noisy requested a seat to the left of entering only to be told they didn't have the staff numbers to cater for that section ..wtf Seriously that really sucked and would have made no difference to any wait staff . We also asked the waitress on a table with about 15 on up wether they had ordered because if they hadn't we would have had to leave due to time constraints . we were informed that they had not ordered and with that in mind we ordered quickly but soon realised we'd been fibbed to as they started bringing out their meals about 20 minutes later .. Not happy Jan overall a very poor experience"

"We had brunch at French Twist this morning before going to the movies at The Barracks, on the outskirts of the Brisbane CBD.It's worth noting that there was not much around of a similar ilk within the Barracks complex that was open for a Sunday brunch.We managed to get a table (is was quite busy), ordered and paid for food and drink at the counter, took a table number and the food was delivered to the table.All the food was good and quite reasonably priced.Wouldn't hesitate to return again."
