"There are very few places to eat in the Porongurups and we found it worth stopping here for lunch. From the look of the outside you would not expect to have the great gluten free choices on the good menu that we found. We were told by someone in Perth it was the place to eat as we were gluten free and they were right! We had lentil patties which were huge and tasty with salad. We were going to have gluten free apple crumble too but we were full. Lots of meat options, home made soup (Vegetarian and gluten free). Tomorrow we go back for Salmon patties and beef pie. The shop contains an odd mix of items including local natural history books, some food items, children’s toys through to postcards and indian style cushion covers and mats! We couldn't quite work out a theme!"

"We stayed nearby at Karribank which has no food to offer, therefore we were happy that the tearooms over the road were open for breakfast. We had a pleasant brekky by the fire as the weather was quite cold. All good (but I wouldn't recommend poached eggs) and nourishing food. Staff very friendly and the shop had some interesting gift purchases."
