"On two visit to Andalucia we had a family lunch a couple of times in this classic completely refurbished spanish town house. We returned on the strength of the sheer quality of the restaurant The house/hotel/restaurant is set in the centre of the town and there is a public car park a few yards away. If that is full paraking might be a problem!. The hotel has an unprepossessing exterior look but once inside you can only marvel at the extent of the sensitive and beautiful restoration. It is quite simply a perfect setting including see through floors to old ancient relics, wall displays, old canvases beautiful lighting and a great mix of comfortable and restored furniture. The restaurant is air conditioned inside and extends to an open outside courtyard. The tables are properly laid and fitting for fine dining. The staff were friendly and can speak English when pushed. The menu is basically Spanish with some variations of the chef who has a lovely light touch to his food. Consequently, it is simply delicious, expertly cooked and presented and a credit to the restaurant. Portions are humungous so beware a starter AND main course. Probably better to share starters (conpartir in spanish) if you want to avoid rolling home. We only tried glasses of wine but it was still good quality. Pudding helpings were also large so again beware especially as they are as delicious as the other courses. Price for such good dining is surprising not cheap but remarkable value three greedy people who each had starter, main course and pudding including tip came to 120 euros. I don't know how they do this quality for this price. I did note that the restaurant has limited staff it was quiet for our visits so no problem but if twenty people landed on them out of the blue i am not certain how they would cope so I recommend booking give them a chance to match tables to staff. Truth is this is one of the best restaurants I have been to in the last few years."
