"We thought we might come for dinner here but to be honest, the smell of the place was rather off putting. A really good carpet cleaning would greatly help this place out. In some places it was so filthy that the pattern of the carpet was unrecognizable, and really, the smell from it was very... distracting. Due to that we decided to go elsewhere for good. Excellent patio, and our server was excellent as well. Perhaps management should forms a little on upkeep."

"We were unsure if we'd be allowed to "just have a coffee" since it was lunch time but the owner could not have been more welcoming. He brought coffee right away and we decided to share a piece of apple pie. Large and delicious!! He told us they have it made specially for the restaurant by a local baker. The decor in the old building adds to the sense of history there. Anyway, it was a really great experience - a genuinely friendly greeting makes all the difference."

"It felt like I was at Mel's diner from happy days but even better . The staff are friendly and very helpful even with letting us know places and roads to get there. The food is like you would cook at home tasty and good ."

"Went to get mcflurries but the ice cream machine was broken. Then ordered filet-o-fish meal and fries and they couldn't upsize the drink because out of cups. Then the filet-o-fish seemed a bit undercooked and fries were room temperature."

"Excellent service and the food was delicious, from the caesar salad to the coleslaw, fries to the fish. Even the coffee and ice cream were far better than expected. All this to a 50's soundtrack that couldn't be beat. We will make this place our destination from now on."

"Have been coming up here for over 20 years and eating at Sylvia’s Restaurant for the last 4-5 and love the breakfasts and the dinners are fantastic. My hubby loves the carrot cake and all the home baked goodies. Will keep going there until we can’t get there. Also the waitresses and cooks are so nice and polite and friendly just what you want to see when you come up here.So quiet and beautiful up here love visiting our friends every year ."
