The food is very good but can be expensive. The toilets are clean and...with no extra charge. There is also a basic shower available for a small fee or even free of charge if you are a truck driver :"

"Were after a mountain bike - tour on a one-kekr swing to eat a little bite on the afternoon. had eaten a pizza, a glass of red wine, was very good. kellner was very nice and recommended us a special coffee. this restaurant can be recommended."

"Been there twice in a row, so we got an idea. December, full house, nice atmosphere. The menu is nice, wine cart, too, prices are higher so we expected much. And we were satisfied. Dinner was super, great taste, good local choices of beef, nice...soup selection, big spare ribs portion. The only thing I gave only 4 stars is little bit slow service. So we waited little more than 1 hour to be served with food."

"We are a family of five (10, 7, 2 yo's) and we're looking for a nice dinner out. We heard of a restaurant in the woods from fellow travelers and after looking around found the Sattelbauer. What a find!!Firstly, the drive to the restaurant is up a winding road in the middle of a forest (great buildup!) and once you are up at the top, the entire Flachau valley is spread below. There's a children's playground and a small petting zoo outside, but as it was a little chilly we opted to sit inside. The inside was nice and warm with an authentic rustic decor. The menu was only in German but our waitress was extremely pleasant and patient and explained everything in English (I forgot her name... Sorry!). Her recommendations were spot on and the dinner was delicious. The younger kids had chicken nuggets with fries while I had the venison dumplings (delicious!!), my wife had a grilled trio of pork, chicken and veal (delicious!!) and my oldest had classic Wiener schnitzel (delicious!!). The dinner was perfect! The bill was 75 EUR and included a round of drinks (beer for me), desert and coffee. If you are in the area, you have to eat here!"
